NEW Classes start mid-May 2023!
Intention: The more adept we become at being mindful while in action or motion, the easier it is to be mindful in our everyday activities.
Practices: Use simple, natural, easy movements to explore the present moment with playfulness & curiosity.
As our awareness shifts, a natural mindfulness arises, often called "flow state" or "in the zone" that feels relaxed and calm yet dynamic.
Limitations: Friendly to all body types. Movements are easily adapted to motion limitations and can be done while seated or standing.

No experience necessary, the practices and exercises are easy to learn and do!
The word mindfulness is being used in many different contexts for many different applications these days. What most have in common is the idea that when we bring a friendly kind of attention (not the judgmental, self critical kind that can often dominate our everyday awareness), our consciousness shifts to a state of relaxed awareness and we feel more present and awake to the current moment. As we practice and develop the skill to shift into this mindful state more easily, we often find ourselves feeling more at peace with ourselves, relaxed yet aware, which in turn allows us to respond to what is coming up in the moment, even if it is challenging, with more ease and skill. Also called "flow state" or being "in the zone".
These practices can be done while seated or standing. The movements can be expansive or very small, like micro-movements. They can be modified to suit your body's comfort range.
